Messages from mom! Jimmy Kimmel asked Kourtney Kardashian and more celebs to read hilarious texts from their moms out loud in honor of Mother’s Day.
“‘Can you come over for dinner tomorrow at 7?’” the reality star, 40, read from her phone on the Thursday, May 9, episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! “Then she wrote me again and said, ‘You never asked me. I asked do you wanna come for dinner at 7?’ And then the next day, she wrote me, ‘I hope you will come for dinner.’ I didn’t respond.”
When Kim Kardashian asked why she’d ignored Kris Jenner and Khloé Kardashian admitted their mom had never invited her over to dinner, Kourtney explained, “I just forget.”
Us Weekly shared an exclusive clip of Pink’s message from Judith Moore earlier that day. “So I survived my first dose,” the Grammy winner, 39, read. “Should I take it twice daily? How long before I should see results or need to increase dose? Bring vape dose to Florida, spelled vap. From your stoner mom.” The musician laughed and said, “That’s so sad.”
Katy Perry’s text from her mom, Mary Perry, centered around the singer’s relationship with Orlando Bloom.
“Feather, teamwork when you are cohabbing makes the dream work,” the singer, 34, read from her cell. “You know dad and mom love you and want the best for you, but in any relationship, a man has to take the lead even if you only let him think he is. The man is the head, but the woman is the neck that turns the head. You just have to do it when he doesn’t think you’re doing it, kind of like turning a sail on a sailboat in the wind. Subtle, but it’ll start to glide.”
She added: “You two should rent a sailboat together and see how it feels. I would do that with you anytime.”
