Jennifer Lopez Shows Off Her Killer Abs on Day 9 of Her 10-Day Challenge

Jennifer Lopez is a triple threat — singer, dancer and actress — so it’s no surprise that she’s overachieving on her 10-day no carb, no sugar challenge, with her abs looking even more defined after just nine days.

The Second Act star showed off her killer abs (and biceps!) on Instagram, and checked in with her followers who joined her and boyfriend Alex Rodriguez for the challenge.

“Day 9 and feelin’… like I can’t wait for Day 10,” Lopez, 49, wrote. “Who’s still with us? @arod”

Her post had boyfriends past and present wowed by her physique. Diddy, whom she dated from Sept. 1999 to Feb. 2001, simply commented “OMG,” while Rodriguez said, “Lucky me” — as spotted by the Instagram account Comments by Celebs.

Along with Rodriguez, 43, the mom of two challenged herself to ten days without sugar or carbs back on Jan. 21. Halfway through the couple decided to get other people to join in.

“We’re just walking in from the gym and we’re in the middle of our 10-day challenge and it’s getting lonely,” Lopez said in a video on Jan. 25, alongside her boyfriend of two years. “Let’s challenge some people!”

They called out Leah Remini, producer Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Today co-host Hoda Kotb.

“Hoda! I know you’re up for a good challenge,” Lopez added.

Kotb agreed to join in and recruited her fellow Today co-hosts Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, Al Roker and Carson Daly to try it out, but not everyone was successful. Daly dropped out of the challenge in less than 24 hours.

“Forgive me, J.Lo, for I have sinned,” Daly joked on Monday.

The 45-year-old admitted that he barely gave the challenge a try.

“By the time I got home, I had a text from my sister who doesn’t cook that often and she invited my family over to her family’s house. She made individual chicken pot pies. What am I supposed to do, not eat that?” he said. “Am I supposed to show up with my own bag of broccoli and [say], ‘Oh, I can’t have any carbs?’ It’s Friday night!”

Kotb, on the other hand, is doing well, and “had a little bit of a different experience” than Daly. She called the challenge “amazing” diet and raved about her improved energy — though she admitted to cheating a little with some alcohol and Coffee-Mate creamer in her coffee.
