No matter how much you want to improve your sexual performance, you should never rub toothpaste on your intimate areas.
Questionable health gurus have claimed the dental product can help you to last longer on the sack.
But apparently, doing this could actually do more harm than good.
James O’Loan, pharmacist at online doctor service Doctor-4-U, said putting toothpaste on your intimate areas can lead to burning and scarring.

He commented: “I’d urge anyone thinking of trying this rather worrying ‘toothpaste’ technique to cease and desist – because it won’t do anything at all to combat premature ejaculation or erectile dysfunction, despite the claims being made in these videos.
"The peppermint oils and other chemicals in toothpaste, including bleaching agents, can be extremely irritating to sensitive skin.
"By putting it on your genitals you actually risk a mild burn, as well as blisters and scarring.
"And toothpaste should in no way be used as a lubricant, either."
If you are suffering from ejaculation problems, there are other steps you should take to deal with them.
Seeking the advice of your local GP is advisable if it is causing you a lot of stress.
The NHS also recommends taking these steps to prevent premature ejaculation
– masturbate an hour or two before having sex
– use a thick condom to help decrease sensation
– take a deep breath to briefly shut down the ejaculatory reflex (an automatic reflex of the body during which ejaculation occurs)
– have sex with your partner on top (to allow them to pull away when you are close to ejaculating)
– take breaks during sex and think about something boring
