Selma Blair has been super open about her battle with multiple sclerosis (MS) with her followers on Instagram. The actress has shared both serious health updates and goofy videos along her journey.
And in her latest post, she has her followers dying from laughter. Selma is wearing what appears to be a blonde wig (Selma has famously documented her hair loss and shaved head during her MS treatment). In the video, she speaks in a southern accent and talks to her followers about the paparazzi. “I love her,” she captioned the post.
Selma starts her video with a close-up shot of her face. “Soooo, hi, don’t look at me, I look haggard,” she says in the video. “But I wanted to share with you, I saw…this is something I’m interested in. It’s conspiracy theories and paparazzi. What is real?”

She continues in her video talking about how she actually does have hair… “I noticed the other day there were pictures of me, and I had no hair. Ew. So as you can see now, my hair is long as a needle. So, what is real?” she says as she whips her hair around.
And her friends and followers were obsessed. “Love u ❤️,” one follower commented. “😆 what’s real?!? 💓,” another commented. “Your courage is REAL 😍,” another follower wrote.
Some of her followers were quick to catch on that Selma may be emulating the Queen of Pop, Britney Spears. Britney posted a similar video to her Instagram stories back in June of 2019, per Yahoo, after some less-than-flattering paparazzi pictures captured her and her BF Sam Asghari on the beach in Miami. One fan pointed out, “I’m getting a Britney vibe. ❤️” Selma responded to one of the comments, “We all love Britney.”
In the video, Brit tells her fans: “Hello, and please don’t judge me, I look haggard right now. My question to all of you is: A lot of fans… criticize people and say that the pictures and videos that they’re posting are either not [current] or they’re fake.”
“Yesterday, I went swimming. [In some paparazzi photos], I look like I’m 40 pounds bigger than I am today. This is how I am right now,” Britney continued, showing her body. “I’m skinny as a needle. You tell me: What is real?” (Hmm… note the familiar phrases.)
Selma, who was diagnosed with MS more than a year ago, has been very open about her symptoms and side effects from treatments along the way. Her son shaved her head and she has been rocking a totally bald look aside from a few wigs and some in between.
Laughter is looking like good medicine once again.
