We are not shy about the fact that we completely stan the always-real, always-outspoken Teigen-Legend family. When we heard that supermodel and cookbook author Chrissy Teigen took daughter Luna, 3, to see ballerina Misty Copeland perform in The Nutcracker at the American Ballet Theatre’s production, we just knew there had to be adorable photo evidence commemorating the occasion.
There was. Behold:
Teigen shared the pic and others on Instagram on Sunday. In it, Luna is sporting a perfect ballet-pink leotard with coordinating skirt, tights and ballet slippers. And naturally, Luna struck every dance pose she knew in the images her famous mom shared to commemorate the special holiday occasion.
“headed to see @mistyonpointe in the nutcracker! won’t wear anything else I tried,” Teigen quipped in her Instagram caption. But did we want her to wear anything else? Nah, hard pass. We happen to seriously dig Luna’s style.
So do other celeb friends of Teigen.
Jennifer Garner commented on Instagram, “Get out of town! [emojis with heart eyes]”
Melissa Gorga wrote simply, “Stop!! Love her [heart emojis]”
Fans were delighted by Luna’s ballerina style too: “She doesn’t need to wear anything else!” wrote one. “She’s a little girl, I’m glad that you’re letting her have fun!!”
Another joked, “You never know when you’re going to get called off the bench. Best to be prepared.”
Before Chrissy, husband John Legend, Luna, and Grandma Vilailuck Teigen headed out to the ballet, Luna snacked on some avocado dip.
“guac for energy,” Chrissy captioned a Twitter post of video of Luna eating and agreeing “yeah” after being asked if she was excited to see Misty Copeland perform.
And energy was needed — at least for the frolicking that took place backstage with Copeland after the show. What a lucky kid.
It’s obvious from queen of perfect clapbacks Teigen’s unusually heartfelt tweets that she was just as starstruck as Luna meeting Copeland after The Nutcracker. Copeland, the first African American principal female dancer with the American Ballet Theatre, has that effect on all of us — here’s just a tiny glimpse of why:
So thrilled for the whole fam — and looking forward to more backstage passes with the Teigen-Legends in the future.
