No one knows how to throw a kids’ birthday party quite like the Kardashian “klan.” After all, you can do a lot with what SheKnows estimated to be a six-figure budget. That lavishness was on full display this weekend when Khloe Kardashian threw a birthday party for her daughter True that centered around the little girl’s love of The Octonauts, a TV show about adorable animals who explore the ocean. (See the photos here.)
“Her birthday isn’t until April 12th, but we decided to celebrate it yesterday,” the media personality wrote on her Instagram story on April 2. “Time really does fly! Bittersweet. I’ll hold onto the last few days of my 4-year-old.”
If the party decorations are any indication, balloon arches are so passé. Instead, the Kardashian backyard was outfitted with a giant pink octopus made out of balloons, a colorful balloon coral reef, and balloons with jellyfish tails hanging off them.
The enviable dessert table included custom cookies with True’s name on them, parfaits with mermaid tales sticking out, octopus cake pops, a tree with donuts hanging off each limb, cotton candy in the shape of the characters, made-to-order snow cones, and more. Sorry to sheet cakes everywhere! You’ve been kicked to the curb.
Kardashian then shared that there was sand art, slime, and other crafts. Guests could even make their own aquarium and take home a goldfish. All other goodies could be taken home in a personalized backpacks and pouches from Stoney Clover. But the crème de la crème of this extravaganza was the tide pool filled with starfish, sting rays, and more that the kids could check out.
So now we have to know how can we go to True’s sixth birthday party. We want to be a guest, but we would even settle for dressing up as one of the characters from her future favorite show.
