Jenna Jameson Recalls the ‘Fear’ and ‘Pain’ of Her IVF Journey
Sharing her truth. Jenna Jameson opened up about her IVF journey in an honest Instagram post on Monday, February 18, featuring two throwback pics and a new mirror selfie.
“Yes, I’m an IVF warrior. Our sweet Batelli was conceived through modern medicine,” the model, 44, captioned the post. “Truth be told, IVF is one of the hardest things I’ve endured. So much emotion, stress, fear, pressure, pain and anxiety. The hormones wreak havoc on your body for months prior to transfer and the fear of the unknown is encompassing.”
Jameson added: “I was 43 when we began our IVF for Batel. I felt I had little time. I felt it may be my last chance. I knew what I was getting into since I had a successful twin IVF pregnancy. But I was MUCH younger then.”
The Honey author, who shares her 22-month-old daughter, Batel, with her husband, Lior Bitton, welcomed her baby girl in 2017. Jameson already shared twins Jesse and Journey, 9, with her ex Tito Ortiz.
Although she had a harder time conceiving the second time around, the Las Vegas native has no regrets. “After everything, we ended up with one very special PGD tested, perfect embryo… my little Batelli,” she continued in her Instagram post. “She was worth every shot, every cry and every push. I felt compelled to talk about my age, IVF and how you can do this too. Never lose hope. Always trust in G-d. He has beautiful plans for you.”
James has posted several progress pics since welcoming her daughter and shedding more than 80 pounds. Jameson shared tips for intermittent fasting and keto meals earlier this month, admitting that she’d reached periods of “zero movement on the scale.”
“Moral of this post, connect to your body… listen closely and adjust,” she advised her followers. “You’ve got this.”
