Man Gets 'Bowling Ball' Lump Extracted From His Neck

Why do these videos keep popping up on Facebook?

We’ll tell you why – people enjoy watching gross things being extracted from the human body. It’s that simple.

If you aren’t aware, Dr. Pimple Popper (a.k.a Dr. Sandra Lee) is an American dermatologist who records all the crazy popping procedures she performs on her patients.

Lee has seen some absolutely disgusting things in her time (just check out her Instagram!), but this patient came to her with something bigger than anything she’d ever seen before.

In the video below, Lee gets to work removing a giant lipoma from her patients neck – and the damn thing is the size of a bowling ball.

The video goes for 45 minutes, but our guess is that you’ll be too nauseated to make it past thirty seconds worth.

A lipoma is a growth of fatty tissue that slowly develops over time under the skin. As they’re classified as benign growths, this means they aren’t cancerous and are rarely harmful.

Although lipomas usually cause no issues at all, they’re able to be removed through either surgery or liposuction if they become problematic. And judging by the size of the one on this man’s neck, it’s safe to say it looked like it might have caused him a few problems.

Despite a successful procedure, Lee wasn’t happy with the pop.

“Initially I thought it maybe, just maybe, would pop out almost whole. But it wasn’t meant to be – too many fibrous connections keeping it attached to him,” Lee wrote in the video’s caption.

The man in the video apparently made a full recover, but has told Lee he sometimes misses his ‘human pillow’. To each their own.
