This Is What Happens To Your Vagina When You Use A Bath Bomb

Bath bombs can make having a relaxing bath so much more fun with their colours and glitter – but watch out, they are not as harmless as they seem.

Bath bombs can actually have many negative effects on your lady bits according to Dr Vanessa Mackay, spokesperson for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, who told Metro about why they can actually be damaging.

The main thing to look out for? Perfumed bath bombs.

“It’s a good idea to avoid perfumed soaps, gels and antiseptics as these can affect the healthy balance of bacteria and pH levels in the vagina and cause irritation,” Dr Mackay said.

The main risk of disrupting the delicate balance in the vagina is of getting thrush, which is caused by disruption to the good bacteria.
