Taking the high road! Diddy broke his silence on Friday, June 14, two days after his ex-girlfriend Cassie revealed she is pregnant.
“Congratulations @Cassie and Alex,” the 49-year-old rapper captioned a photo of the couple via Instagram. “I wish you all nothing but love and happiness. God bless ❤️❤️❤️ L O V E.”
Cassie, 32, announced she and boyfriend Alex Fine are expecting on Wednesday, June 12, via Instagram.
“Can’t wait to meet our baby girl,” she wrote alongside a photo of the twosome sitting in the car with tiny white sneakers dangling from the rearview mirror. “Love You Always & Forever.”
The “Me & U” singer’s 26-year-old beau shared the same sweet snap with a touching tribute.
“Letter to my Daughter,” Fine wrote. “I will be the first man in your life and will show you the greatest love and affection now and forever. I never thought my heart could grow bigger after meeting your mother… then I found out we were having you and I instantly felt a love that is so indescribable. I promise to be at every dance recital, concert, sporting event, school plays whatever you decide to do I will be there and support you. I am your No. 1 fan.”
Cassie and Fine made their relationship social media-official in December 2018, two months after her split from Diddy made headlines. News broke in October 2018 that the “Long Way 2 Go” songstress and the producer called it quits after dating on and off for 11 years.
Cassie’s rep confirmed the break up in a statement at the time: “They are indeed no longer together and haven’t been for months.”
